Drop In and Play

At Cape Cod Pet Resort we provide the best environment for your dog to socialize and feel safe.  Our playful environment is a result of dogs getting to know each other during repeated visits.  This occurs by reducing the stress of meeting new and unfamiliar dogs every day, no different from the increased comfort level you feel once you become more familiar with new friends. 

Daycare Overview

Your dog can be dropped off at the Cape Cod Pet Resort between 7:00 – 9:30 a.m. and picked up between 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.  (If you need an earlier drop off or later pick up, please ask about options).  Your dog’s day will consist of supervised play on agility equipment, jumping in and out of cool pools of water (during warm weather), or just running around with friends and playing with our staff.

 

Our daycare facility offers 1200 square feet of indoor space and 1200 square feet of outdoor space.  The indoor area is equipped with ¾” Tenderfoot flooring for cushioning your dog’s playing. 

Your Dog’s First Day

Your dog needs to be dropped off first thing in the morning to reduce stress meeting the other dogs. In the afternoon, we ask that new dogs are the first ones to be picked up (to reduce the stress of seeing other dogs leave first), between 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

Before your dog comes to play:
In order for your dog to come to daycare, these steps need to be completed. we accept all freindly dogs except pitbulls.  When your dog is approved for daycare, we can set a start date.

• Call for a temperament test, see the daycare and meet our staff.
• Complete the Application for Dog Day Care and a New Client Information Form and either bring the forms in with you or fax to: 508-564-4757.
• Provide CCPR with your veterinarian’s copy of your dogs’ vaccination records.

Other Basic Requirements:

Age:  3 months or older
Sex:  Spayed/neutered if over 6 month of age
Shots:  Bordatella (kennel cough), DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza and parvovirus) and rabies vaccines. 
Health:  Fecal tests are required every 6 months for daycare.
Behavior:  All dogs must be non-aggressive towards dogs and humans.

Screening process

All dogs must pass a temperament test to assure that they are both dog and people-friendly. There is no charge for this assessment.  It is important for the health and safety of all concerned that the dogs attending daycare do not have aggressive tendencies, be food or toy possessive or be overly protective of territory.
